Macau casino hotel investor Get Nice Holdings Ltd has allocated over MOP$100 million to renovate its 50% owned Grand Waldo complex in Macau to expand its presence.

The first phase involves the relocation of the Grand Waldo Casino, which was completed and it reopened on 31st January. Thirty-eight gambling tables and 93 slot machines now occupy a smaller hall, reducing operating costs by as much as 40%, said Kam, adding that the relocation will also leave more space for the firm's shopping mall in the future.

The company will rebuild its spa center through adding more than 160 rooms in the second half of this year.

第二階段將投資7000萬元, 將金都水療休閒中心打造成澳門最具規模的水療中心, 該中心占地25萬平方呎, 全澳最大。 水療中心2月1日起翻新, 預計第三、四季竣工。 未來將在水療中心增加160間客房, 房價將較酒店房便宜約20%。

第三階段投資8000萬至1.2億元重點規劃金都綜合樓內的特賣場, 特賣場樓高6層、占地60萬平方呎, 務求打造成澳門首間集購物、餐飲及休閒於一身的特賣場, 預期可進一步帶動區內人流。 至於餐飲部分目前計畫增加美食廣場、酒吧街及24小時港式茶餐廳, 針對旅客和澳門人。

Lan Kwai Fong Hotel held its opening ceremony in Macau on the 2nd August after a year of renovation. The newly renovated Lan Kwai Fong hotel is a boutique hotel located in the downtown casino area of Macau. It consists with a total of 200 hotel rooms including 6 suite units. The hotel was formally known as the Kingsway Hotel.

Wynn Macau in talks for Ferrari brand hotel 永利澳門商討建法拉利酒店 (永利澳门商讨建法拉利酒店)

Wynn Resorts is in talks to open a hotel at Cotai Strip, under the Ferrari brandname as part of its planned Cotai casino resort project.

The company said that it had applied to the Macau government for a 21.9-hectare site on the Cotai Strip to develop four hotels, three with casinos. "I'm talking to Luca di Montezemolo, the chairman of Ferrari, and we're talking about doing one of our hotels as a Ferrari hotel." Steve Wynn said.

Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group is close to securing a 20-hectare site in Macau, to build a US$3 billion casino complex.

The flamboyant British entrepreneur Richard Branson - whose business empire ranges from airlines to music and mobile phones, is close to acquiring the site in Macau. "We hope to get all the boxes ticked in the next couple of months and start developing the site soon afterwards," Sir Richard Branson said.

The paper said Branson had held talks with Macau's leader, Chief Executive Edmund Ho to try and confirm arrangements for the planned entertainment complex featuring three hotels and a casino, which could open as soon as 2010.

Encore at Wynn Macau will be "a second self-contained, fully integrated resort hotel with all related amenities" including its own restaurants and entertainment facilities" according to Wynn. According to the Wynn Resorts First Quarters result in 2008, the new addition will add approximately 400 luxury suites and four villas along with restaurants, additional retail and gaming space. The construction of Encore at Wynn Macau was commenced in 2007, and expect the property to open in the first half of 2010.

What Steve Wynn said is when the Wynn Cotai Strip opens, it will be his greatest project ever, the most beautiful structure on the earth. The land at Cotai Strip is large enough for two or three seperate casino hotels.

“I’m going to build in Cotai the single most gorgeous hotel on the planet. It will probably be the last great job of my life. And it won’t be the biggest hotel, it will just be the fanciest, all sweet hotel on the planet.” Steve Wynn said.

Macau Fisherman’s Wharf 澳門漁人碼頭 (澳门渔人码头)

The first theme park and entertainment complex in Macau, and locates near the HK-Macau Ferry Pier. It was opened on Dec 31st, 2005. The whole complex include facilities such as a forty-metre-tall replica volcano which ‘erupts’ every evening, a children fun fair rides, a shopping arcade, a venue for concert and a convention, exhibition center.

The second phase is currently undergoing construction and will be schedule to complete in two years, the third phase are still under planning progress.

City Of Dreams


The City of Dreams is a project locate near the Cotai Strip serenely floats above a crystal lake, providing no less than 2,000 rooms which includes the Crown Hotel and Casino, Grant Hyatt Hotel, Hyatt Regency Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel. The Hard Rock hotel will be complete at the end of 2008. After the completion, the 72,000 square meter casino will features world-class gaming facilities including 450 gaming tables, over 3000 gaming machines, and a tropical underwater casino hall with 2000 seats capacity. Other facilities included a 100,000 sq feet Shopping Center, a time sharing service apartment. All the project should be estimate completed in 2009.

投資總額約八十億元, 總建築面積達四百八十七萬平方呎, 位處澳門路氹城金光大道區域的新濠天地計劃將擁有一個以水底世界為主題, 面積約四萬平方米，包括逾450張賭枱娛樂場以及包括3000多台角子機的摩卡(新濠天地), 四家豪華酒店包括硬石 (Hard Rock Hotel)、君悅 (Grand Hyatt)、凱悅 (Hyatt Regency) 和皇冠酒店 (Crown Towers)。硬石酒店將於2008年末開幕。其他設施包括酒店服務住宅 (Time Sharing serviced apartments), 約十萬平方呎的購物中心, 可容納約二千人的表演廳, 項目預計2009年全部落成。

Macau Grand Lisboa Hotel and Casino 澳門新葡京酒店及娛樂場 (澳门新葡京酒店及娱乐场)

Grand Lisboa (新葡京) is owned by Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau (STDM), the building is currently the tallest built in Macau, located right next to the original Casino Lisboa - one of the most famous landmark in Macau. The casino and restaurants within Grand Lisboa were opened on February 11, 2007, while the hotel is expected to be completed in 2008.

The 218.08-carat diamond - 'The Star of Stanley Ho' display inside the Grand Lisboa Hotel is the largest cushion shaped internally flawless D-color diamond in the world.

Stanley Ho purchased the Bronze Horse Head of Haiyantang in the Yuanmingyuan (or Summer Palace) at auction for 8.84 million USD in Hong Kong. The purchase has set a world record price for any Chinese Qing sculpture and its now displaying at Grand Lisboa.
